Hi, my name is Rory, I live in Carlisle which is right below the border of Scotland. I run the local dry slope when I’m not working in the family business or away training with TeamGB snowboard cross.
Over the years I’ve come to realise that the harder you train the more fun you can have, in or out of competitions.
Training doesn’t come easy, and it isn’t all physical. It’s mental too, eat right, sleep right, and keep a straight head.
Where do you originally come from?
I’ve always lived in Cumbria, there are many other places in the world I’d like to go, but only here can I call my home.
How long have you been snowboarding?
I don’t remember not snowboarding. I’ve always done it, I’ve dabbled with Skis a few times just to prove how easy it is, but I have always been and always will be, a snowboarder.
